I did not glue up into the loops, just the lashings on the main string. They will eventually try and separate from repeated use. Superglue the lashings on the ends of the string carefully. If I did I might not need it for wild animals. I needed extra bolts handy since mine is for dealing with feverish wild animals. Limb quiver is made from a flip-flop sandal. Not something for a teenager using a privacy fence as a backstop in a neighborhood. Mine will shoot right through 1/2 inch plywood every time from 30-40 feet away. I wouldn't call this a toy, and it freaks me out a little bit that kids might get one without understanding what it is capable of. One of these days I will modify the cocking mechanism's arms where they attach to the lever- this seems to be the weakest point on mine. I have some loctite semi-permanent bolt fixative I have put into all the body bolts. Such a small overall length coupled with a stiff trigger means it is difficult to stay on target right as your trying to release. The worst thing about it is a cheapness of the trigger mechanism. Mine has a range of 90 feet or so, but 40 feet or so seems to be a good range for it without thinking too much. It was easy and cheap to kit this out with *working but not nice* attachments. Airsoft guns are toys that fire plastic pellets, but the beauty of this is there are aftermarket parts for them, and apparently some people take these toy guns pretty seriously. What I ended up doing was searching for airsoft gun attachments. Mine is kitted out for quick shooting and nighttime shots. I got mine to mercy kill sick wildlife- we were having delirious racoons ended up in our driveway and backyard, apparently sick with distemper. They are much superior to the aluminum ones I recieved with the xbow. I bought some aftermarket bolts that are plastic bodied. My first tests went through my target and the bolts were sunk 2 mm into the concrete wall behind the target. I agree with everything except the power. From what I understand this is really common with this particular xbow. I've got one, though it is marked from a different company. It seems the marketing is targeted for teenagers, but because of the cons mentioned above I wouldn't recommend this for that target audience. I would recommend this to someone who want's a nice little crossbow pistol to shoot with for fun. Requires bit too much fixing and adjusting Body and limb are great and it is nice that it can be dismantled completely. It requires some fixing and adjusting before it is effective and safe to use. It's not a serious weapon but it's not a toy either. I think this is really nice little crossbow. Though it is powerful enough for it's size and purpose.Ĩ bolts out of 15 broken after four rounds of shooting.

SAFETY DOESN'T WORK, though I now how to fix it.Ĭonsidering how hard it was to string this crossbow the power feels pretty humble. They are loose no matter how tight I tighten the screws.Ĭocking mechanism feels solid and works well.

The limb is fibreglass and body is nonmagnetic metal but quite heavy. The limb and the body of this crossbow are good quality. Attaching the string to the limb was challenging but with a little bit of ingenuity I succeeded. I tightened the screws and the bow feels quite solid. Nice thing is that there is screws everywhere so the bow can be dismantled completely. The bow was effortless and easy to assemble, though everything feels loose and wobbly. Packaging was ridiculous but everything arrived intact. I thought this crossbow would be a fun toy to play with! I wasn't expecting anything special from the product. I purchased this crossbow because I had some extra money and I wanted to buy something fun.
